Born out of the early-1990's, a former Crip member known only as "Big Wolf" founded the Southside Danger Mafia is known for its ruthlessness, cunning drug/weapons-trafficking techniques, sadistic tortures and executions, multi-ethnic membership, and old-school dress style (baggy clothes and bandanas). After the treaty between the Bloods and Crips in LA fell apart, the gang decided to make its way to Chicago, which they often refer to as "Gangsta City" or simple "GC".
Allied with powerful Mexican Drug Cartels, they are a force to be reckoned with.
Their colors are blue, black, white, green and orange (nobody knows exactly why they added green and orange to their wardrobe, although several rumors of origin exist). It is believed by some that the reason they adopted the colors green and orange into their dress style is to set themselves apart from the Crips.
Their criminal activities include traditional gangland crimes such as graffiti, selling drugs (hallucinogens, cocaine, crack, marijuana, meth, heroin, etc.) as well as trafficking illegal weapons that had been obtained through the cartels sometime between 2007 and 2010, likely during the controversial ATF gunrunning program known as Operation Fast & Furious. Their weapons caches had started to expand from cheap 9mm's, shotguns, and surplus arms to containing AR-15's, AK-47's, Uzi's, TEC-9's, and several Glock 18's. Reports of members carrying rocket launchers have been made but have never been confirmed.
Little is known about the gangs members. All attempts to infiltrate have been unsuccessful. Many believe the gang was responsible for gutting a rival gang member and tying the rivals family up with their victims intestines before setting them on fire in their front yard. Understandably, no witnesses have ever come forward.
